Phnom Penh Announces Temporary Opening of Key Flyover to Ease Holiday Traffic

Phnom Penh, 29 March, 2024: Phnom Penh Capital Hall has announced the temporary opening of the second layer of the Morodok Techo Flyover starting from April 1st. This decision, detailed in a public notification issued by Governor Khuong Sreng on March 28, aims to alleviate traffic congestion in anticipation of the Khmer New Year celebrations.

Strategically positioned in Khan Meanchey and Khan Chamkar Mon within Phnom Penh, the flyover serves as a crucial link between Hun Sen and Preah Monivong boulevards. The announcement comes as final cleanup activities are underway to complete the construction of this significant infrastructure project.

This development is expected to significantly improve traffic flow in the city, offering residents and visitors alike a smoother travel experience during one of Cambodia's most celebrated festivals.
